I think what happens is that a traditional DJ will see an 'mp3' DJ playing tracks in like iTunes or whatever, something simple, and associate any digital DJ with being lazy like that. Today I was buying some records (I mix on turntables at home for fun) and the store owner was telling me how he doesn't know any of the new 'mp3 DJs in town' hahaha. I should've told him that he knows me quite well 
Really it's all perception. If you're having trouble because you're dealing with someone who isn't receptive to the platform that you mix on, then simply don't work with them if you can't enlighten them. Start your own night, start your own group, do things yourself and forget the rest. What matters at the end of the day is what comes out of those speakers and if the crowd likes it.
I've always carried this sense of confidence and nobody has ever knocked me, at least to my face. Instead its all been praise.

You guys should paint your vci's gold and tell the cddj's and vinyl guys that it cost $10,000. Then they will just walk away thinking, that guys so rad someday il get me one of those.

.its not real music unless you made the istruments yourself out of lumber logged from trees you grew yourself. trees that you watered with your own sweat and tears... that's real music. hahaha
