Razer = Behringer of the PC gaming world. They're also extremely overpriced in my opinion but make it due to the cult following from their sponsored players (Mechanical keyboard with no NKRO rollover for a bill? Yeah no..)

If you're worried about SATA, get yourself a 256ssd for $180. Beast for under a grand with free shipping. Boom.

    Cool, which model?
I know the T is pretty resilient, but isn't as thin. I'm comparing this to the mbp, not another win laptop

As previously said, i agree on the fact that most of their peripherals suck, excluding a couple.

But as someone who personally had the blade in hand, it's a machine.

It's the gaming model. Hence the nVidia, 1080 display. Refurb, but that doesn't bother me because its coming from them. I'll look up the exact model when I get home. I bookmarked it. Might bag it myself.

I dunno. IMO, you're just blowing a ton of money on a laptop that has specs beyond what you need simply for 'status', to have something as a cool fashion accessory rather than function.

I don't think you're going to see a lot of these Razer Blades except for people who don't know what they're buying and people who have too much money.

Just to clarify. I'm not buying anything The retina 15" baseline model starts at 300 dollars more than the blade, so overpaying is relative. I know a lot of "hip" guys who bought their top-of-the-line-overspecced mbp just to update their 20-follower blog and to browse facebook. So this whole "status" thing is already present even without the blade

The Blade is lower resolution than then non-retina 15" with BTO screen, so you can't really compare it to the Retina.

But has a better gpu. None of those things is strictly needed to dj, is it?
How not? Can you compare the regular mbp and the rmbp even tho the rmbp has no optical drive and a higher res screen? 'Course you can!
