Razer = Behringer of the PC gaming world. They're also extremely overpriced in my opinion but make it due to the cult following from their sponsored players (Mechanical keyboard with no NKRO rollover for a bill? Yeah no..)

There's a Thinkpad in the outlet store for $801. i7/8gb/1080/Nvidia/1TB/32ssd. Just sayin...
If you're worried about SATA, get yourself a 256ssd for $180. Beast for under a grand with free shipping. Boom.

I dunno. IMO, you're just blowing a ton of money on a laptop that has specs beyond what you need simply for 'status', to have something as a cool fashion accessory rather than function.
I don't think you're going to see a lot of these Razer Blades except for people who don't know what they're buying and people who have too much money.
Just to clarify. I'm not buying anythingThe retina 15" baseline model starts at 300 dollars more than the blade, so overpaying is relative. I know a lot of "hip" guys who bought their top-of-the-line-overspecced mbp just to update their 20-follower blog and to browse facebook. So this whole "status" thing is already present even without the blade
The Blade is lower resolution than then non-retina 15" with BTO screen, so you can't really compare it to the Retina.
