Thread makes me feel super blessed with my first setup. Mixtrack non-pro with my cheap Realtek soundcard splitting the outs on a pirated VDJ copy.

A pair of belt drive decks by Limit and a nasty, nasty 2 channel mixer that had a dodgy cross fader. Sound out to my amp and I recorded sets into an ancient tape deck (Which I've still got.)
The limits were horrible, but as I've said before, if you can mix on belt drives you can mix on anything. My mate still uses on of them in his house. Wonder what happened to the other one? Probably returned to hell when it couldn't find anymore beginners to annoy.

Around '99 I got a cheap two channel mixer at Best Buy and two cheap soundcards for my desktop. There was DJ plug-in for WinAmp that allowed you to control the pitch and set a cue point. So with two copies of WinAmp up, one assigned to each sound card, you could mix. Latency was pretty bad but I was able to work around it. It taught me a lot and really makes me appreciate how far things have come.

First setup was 2 x technics 1210's and a Numark DXM01 mixer.

2x technics 1200 mk3ds and a stanton sk2f limited edition mixer.

My very first setup was about 15 years ago, I was DJing with some cheap-ass Gemini tables and a mixer. Then I took a break from DJing and focused on production. About two years ago, I got back into it with an S4, but then recently downsized to an S2 - the opposite of what most people do!
