Duuude, I had been looking for this Jamie xx set for some time hahaha nice to find it finally! really nasty nasty nasty stuff he's spinning hahaha I love this guy!!

And about the crossfader issue: I use it all the time for transitioning from A to B xD I guess I should start using the line faders for more control

Crossfader is like the ubiquitous Tape Deck in a brand new Hi-Fi. Some folk will still rock it like a boss and some will never touch it. Good to now its there though eh.

    Mate, I haven't seen a tape deck on a hi-fi for about 6 years.

iPod dock, sure, Tape Deck? Fuck no lol.

It's like floppy drives on PCs.

no, i don't use it. 100% channel faders

though it§ s useful for cutting and eqing at the same time as you can have an extra free hand

Honestly I used it at first. But then I played on some really beat to crap mixers, talked with some of the local DJ's about how they worked their mixing, and really focused on NOT using it. I much prefer it, even for fast cuts at this point.

When I end up using the crossfader, since I hardly ever use the damned thing, I will sometimes forget about it. That is absolutely the worst. So I just don't use it.

I have been working on practicing scratching, and for that, it is useful. But for my general mixing and where I am comfortable now? It's something I just don't bother with because it just gets me in trouble.
