    Yes, but just a first name is a bit odd. What if Carl Cox was just Carl? Or Richie Hawtin was just Richie?

    Not using DJ is definitely fine, but I would try your full name or first + middle or something similar.

    I put "DJ" in my username on here precisely because of threads like this, lol. When I wrote an article for DJ TechTools, I got them to put "D.J." in front of my name as that's even more old school. To me, anything that winds up people who have an aversion to the term "DJ" has got to be worth doing.

    I like dj in front of my name, it means I'll never get mistaken for an MC, and nobody wants that, right?
