    Hi, i don't know if you got your answer but:
    -> Either it's in AAC format (tracks bought on Itunes) and in that case you have to convert them into mp3
    -> Or the track is to long (in that case it's send in the "mixes folder") or to short (in that case it's sent in the "parts" folder)

    Yep. It's free, has a bunch of features many of which are community driven. You need to Login on first run of the app, and be logged in for access to any of the community tagging functions.
    After first run you do not need to be online in order to use the app. (e.g. it will work on a plane).
    Thanks for the reply...you speak about 'we' so I'm assuming you work for Beatport, is that correct? What are containers? And...what is meant by community driven & community tagging functions...that's kind of tech talk for me?

    cheers, J.

    Why, when I edit track metadata in itunes (comment field), the track just disappears from the beatport pro library instead of just showing the update there as well?

    Also, is there an option to change the duration cutoff for beatport pro to categorize a track as a mix? I have a few tracks that are longer than 10 minutes.

    So no "mood" tags for any non-edm related tracks?
    pretty huge feature that's missing.

    Yeah i take back everything bad i said about the software. Yes it takes a lot of organizing but once it's done it's actually awesome.

    If it showed up in Traktor's browser tree like itunes and had smart playlist I would be sold.

    what changed your mind?
    I actually enjoyed going in and setting mood, venue, set time tags, and the fact that you can sync, art, label, year etc.

    Still not sure what to do with it after you set it all. Haven't delved into actually putting this to use in traktor yet.
    If I do start using this my workflow would now be something like this.....

    run tracks through mixed in key
    run tracks through beatport
    put tracks in itunes to use smart playlists
    import tracks to traktor
    import tracks to rekordbox.
    go to bed

    guess it's better than burning cds and marking them with a sharpie.

    not positive, but when I had iTunes and beatport open and I deleted a file from iTunes, I think it showed "beatport pro library has been updated" on the notification bar at the top. So that might be a workaround for now for deleting tracks.

    Yeah but what would be the point of going through all this ?
    -> Tags ? Itunes doesn't need tag you can search everything in the bar.
    -> Moods? Comon who uses that? A good dj knows his tracks

    -> Spending a lot of time adding and deleting tracks ? NOP
