Yeah, thankfully, the DSP part is the easy part.

In the course of working on my current project (my own DJ software), I've got a lot of the tech I'd need to create this... it is not an active concern for me at the moment, but I've added it to my backlog.

Hey Deathy - I caught your studio mix on the Ghetto Funk Facebook page.

    Nice work, mate!

Whats the use case of this? ie why is this info important?

Its self evident if a track has sequenced drums or a live drummer.

Nothing to do with sequenced drums vs. a drummer. I'm looving for minor timing deviations, I'm looking for marked tempo increases/decreases (of around 10 bpm or more...)

I have a lot of Transition Tracks (tracks that start at one tempo, and then change to another), but I lost the tags that tell me that they are actually transition tracks! So now, i have a bunch of tracks in my library that start at one tempo, and then change to another.

I don't want the surprise of a sudden tempo change when I load a track that I don't know too well - so I want a piece of software that can determine if a track has a tempo change or not.

Say... it occurs to me - the tool I'll end up writing when I get the time is likely to be Windows only, I am not equipped to develop a Mac version.

Is that going to be something you can work with?
