It baffles me that people can rubbish something just because it doesnt fit their particular needs.

Some guy said it was a "total waste of time" because it lacked Jog Wheels???
Its made for people who dont want jog wheels.

The X1 is cheap and aimed at a certain market , I think it hits the market well. It wasnt ever meant to be an Xone 4d or Maven.
I also think the X1 hits it's intended market spot on. I've been mulling over options of what set up to adopt when making the shift to the digital world. I was thinking for a little while there that I was going to buy the new Xone DX and Traktor Pro to use with it (because I didnt want to use itch) but that was going to cost in excess of £1,150 for the set up.

The functions in Traktor Pro I want access to are looping, hot cues and effects. With the X1 I can just buy Traktor Scratch Pro and continue using CDJ's yet still be able to reach inside the software for access to the functions I want. And to boot it all I'll have a soundcard, the software I want and a midi-controller to access the functions I need for around the £650 mark, almost half the cost of the other set up I was thinking of.

Only downside of this set up as oppossed to the Xone DX is 4 deck access (which was one of the things swaying me towards the DX) but I can always add another X1 and still be a good bit under the cost of the Dx/Tpro set up.
