Needing a new mixer so badly. The one I've got now just distorts everything and the EQ barely works. Plus when I had it hooked up it just makes this loud squealing noise which is painful to hear. Going to get a xone 92, I think. It's my 40th in a couple of weeks and I just thought what the hell. Big landmark birthday so I might as well celebrate by pretending I'm turning 21 again! .

    Has anyone here in Blightly ever bought anything from Thommen? Their price for a 92 is about £200 cheaper than anywhere else so I'm well tempted. Just wary of having to ship it back to Germany if anything goes wrong. Don't want to buy second hand or from Ebay as I'd much rather have a warranty.

    I've only had the decks set up for an hour or so but they seem very nice. Pitch faders seem a trifle fiddly and less precise than those on my 1200s - slight touch seem to kick it up a couple of BPM - but I guess its a case of getting used to them. My plan is to have them and my 1200s hooked up to the 92 and my Machinedrum routed into it as well. At least that's my excuse for going for a six channel monster!

    Must pick up that House of Doors one as well. Very nice buy!
    Thumper, nice purchase!! I have a set myself and love them With the issue of the pitch bumping up a couple of BPM's, you can change the range of the fader to be more like your 1200's (+/-6%??). There's a button in the bottom right hand corner to change the range (Can't remember exactly what it's called).

    With buying stuff from thomman, I have done it, but a fair few years ago, and not on anything as expensive as a Xone 92!! I did nearly return one item I bought, but it only cost me £30 and the price to send it back would have been near that so I didn't bother. All depends on whether you ever need to send it back or not, and how much it would cost!! Although if you are saving over £200, I can imagine you'll probably still come out on top even if you need to send it back a few times!!

    I'm not sure it was the range toggle, and it did only seem to be the one deck from what i can remember but i didnt get very long to muck around. Ill have ti wait and see whether there is an issue or whether it's just me. I'm sure it's fine.

    So over the weekend, Rubadub seemed to find a few copies of a record I already have but for the money I though why not have a second copy, as its a bit pricey on discogs, so;

    Aquarian Foundation - Language Of The Hand on Mood Hut

    And finally, after about a months delay our label's record has hit the shelves, and it's been featured in a mix by none other than Larry Heard! Anyway it's out at a few places now, here's a cheeky link;

    CHEMOTEX - Schrade Knives - The Trilogy Tapes
    IN SYNC - Storm/Subway Route - Delsin
    ISOKE - How To Seduce Cyborgs - Eargasmic Recordings US
    Theo Parrish - Footwork - Sound Signature US

    And that's it until I'm back from Italy I think. It had better be, I'm edging towards bankruptcy and I still need to buy a new mixer.

    Really excited about the In Sync one. I've lost it to Storm so many times in the distant past it'll be a real treat to finally own it.
