i only use a 3rd for making a flanger synth in traktor or loops and cue juggling
VCI 100, Akia mpd16, oxygen 8 v1 Dell LAt., traktor
i do now, but bit hard to put it together for that vid, when i get round to doing another i'll sort that out.
need a new webcam first as that one only works with xp
put annotations in that one though so viewer knew where the tracks were and when
4 decks of different styles cant really happen can it?.you would have to get beats or bass or rythmns or vocals all together for no more than 8 bars before things go horribly wrong.you would need dedicated controls to hand for all 4 decks at all times unless you were looping a couple and adding with the other 2 like brad does.3 decks underneath a good dj can be done but not by me im afraid.good luck though.

Yes - I do. I mix mid-tempo breaks/ghetto funk/hip-hop/breakbeat/reggae/etc...
My set-up is 2 main Traktor Decks (A + B, DVS), a Remix Deck in Deck C, and a "preparation deck" in Deck D. I use the Prep Deck to skip forward and add cue points (in my headphones) to the playing tracks to enable me to use Traktors "Beats-to-cue" countdown timer.
That gives me effectively a max of 7 decks/7 sources playing at any one time. That never happens.
The trick is to make sure you have available sources (for me, they're in the Remix sets) that do not have LOADS going on. A full drum kit loop is probably not going to sound too great over a playing track/or over a transition, but an 808 Kick loop, or a hi-hat pattern, are subtle enough to completely change the source audio for the better.
You have to bear this in mind when loading loops. Listening to loops in isolation may sound great - but think what that loop will sound like over a full produced track.
Think of it like Double Drops - when you find one that works, its fucking GREAT, but the vast majority of tracks sound terrible when played at the same time!
