Atleast the resale of macbook are pretty high compared to their pc counterparts, so in X months when usb 3 comes out you could always upgrade without losing major $$$$

i have a MBP 17" with express slot from August 2010, so when usb 3.0 becomes relevant, I'll just get a USB 3.0 express card. big whoop.

Not buying a whole fucking new computer for no reason.

I get confused with the apple vs pc and upgrade discussions. Very confused.

First of all, I waited a little bit to get my MacBook.
It's not the very latest thing off the assembly line.
It also cost me like 900 bucks, and if you consider that to be expensive, consider the cost over your typical pc laptop to be a charge for the benefit of not having to dick around with windows issues.

But why would I want to upgrade? My Apps work great, my controllers work great, its always fast enough and I have no complaints... Do we always need the latest greatest thing?

probably 10 years ago. the stability point doesn't count anymore, windows notebooks are as stable as macs, no problems since 2007. it's personal taste and good marketing nowadays.

    Christ.

Never fails, you post one thing about a new MacBook Pro that's out, and people either don't get the point of a simple heads up or get derailed by more Mac vs. PC bullshit lol.

    C'est la vie.
