    i dont doubt that he did use cdj's once upon a time.. but surely you'd keep at least 2 cd's worth of tracks in your laptop bag as a fail safe if you could mix on them

    I'm sorry, that's just ridiculous. 1. not having a back-up (obviously) is total amateur style. 2. not being able to adjust on the fly and dj w/ cds or whatever is pathetic.

    i know 2 guys who always played out with 2 macbooks and ableton synced together...after some crashes they decided to use cdj´s. but only one of them was able to beatmatch so they warped all their tracks to 128bpm and burned them on cd no need to actually beatmatch but still using cdj´s...
