Playing Outdoor parties...we deal with the cops continually....

The guy who heads up Beartrap and RP Sound (Who i play for) has meetings with the cops and gets involved there.

We had an incident with a guy being bust with a huge stash at our last party. Was his own stupidity.

However, we manage to convince the cops to road block....and not come and raid the party.

Thus...we still have a successful event.

Work with them...and you will be good!

Its also usually some one bitching about the sound. Some farmer complained that his dairy farm was not able to function as the cows were flustered and the milk not quality.

    I SWEAR!

But we then just donate money to the local community...like building a playground for the local school etc.

    Works!

I played my brothers 18th birthday party (I'm older) in 2009 and it was the last party/private booking that venue ever did lol.

In a bar/outdoor area designed for maybe 50 people max, there were at least twice that amount of increasingly drunk and rowdy attendees. It started out fairly mellow (I started with house/indie) but as the drank was consumed the requests came for (far) heavier stuff it became pretty hectic lol. Which I was fine with! It was a great crowd, the actual smallish dance floor I had in front of me was packed most of the night but the sound filled the whole place.

But there were a lot of very drunk (and scantily clad!) girls there, which apparently drew the attention of some much older seedy dudes who definitely weren't invited. They tried to jump the barrier/fence to this place and before long the cops were out front. It wasn't long after that the owner of the business was striding around telling everyone to wrap it up (me included).

They've not done one at that place since haha

I think NWA said it best when they said "Fuck the police."

    Seriously.
