    yeah, a friend of mine got all excited because her school is going to be closed tomorrow for the 3rd day in a row

    do you guys have salt trucks and such down there to clear snow?

    I just saw the forcast for Friday here, its going to be 1 degree above freezing. This can only mean one thing, someone somewhere here in Winnipeg is going to be wearing shorts...

    Then again there was someone wearing shorts earlier this month when it was -45.

    We have trucks that spread a mixture of gravel and something else that's not salt to help melt it, but it doesn't work very well. They have some dump trucks with snow plows on the front, but they can't do much for ice.

    My kids have been home from school since tuesday, they're getting sick of it now.

    indeed. the canadian refridgerator. always a good decision. cools warm brews down to icy status in 20 min (by putting it in the snow and sprinkin some salt over it--- yayy mythbusters

    yeh, but we got a storm on tues and a big bad storm appearntly enroute for next thurs supposedly.
