There's a lot more to branding than a good name. Branding is packaging: the look, feel, awareness, communicability, tone, memorability of a product.
--Have a good, distinctive, memorable, and easily pronouncable name
--Associate the name with a distinctive typeface or commissioned lettering and be consistent
--Have a strong and distinctive logo
    --Have a web presence
--Have a consistent and well-thought-out color scheme
--Have a vibe -- what's your persona? Serious & meticulous? Crazy frat party? Elite glitter crowd? Edgy underground?
--Have a Look. Dress distinctively but avoid cliches or looking like a clown (unless not being taken seriously is part of your vibe)
--Do everything within your creative and financial means to make the brand viral. Handouts (CDs or product with logo/website URL), YouTube videos, local paper interviews/announcements, guerilla marketing in any way you can think of.

Though they may not be aware of it,
sarcasm is their means of indirectly expressing aggression toward others and insecurity about themselves.
Wrapping their thoughts in a joke shields them from the vulnerability that comes with directly putting one's opinions out there.

With respect to the DJTT readership, I've dialed it back a bit...so as not to offend anyone.

My posts should be "Rated Everyone" with a random slip here and there

they are all pretty much what i would have said to sum it all up too. i think the logo/distinctive typeface are a must to stand out on flyers and get recognised.

as for the jet powered beetle... me and my mate used to test drive and help a guy build jet vans and cars.

Just remember, once you go with a certain look, you won't be able to change it until you are an established brand. Make sure you like your designs, DBA, etc. Otherwise a month from now when you think of some other idea, you'd have to startback at square one.
