So there's two rumours atm:
1. DJM-T1 is just the mixer part of a DDJ-T1 controller
2. DJM-T1 is the new incarnation of the DJM909

There may be a lot of four channels out there, but really decent ones are few and far between, especially at reasonable prices. Sure there are some great 2K+machines including Pioneer's but there are only a couple decent offerings in the 1k range (Ecler and Denon) and almost nothing substantially below it except the Behringer. I'd like to see more sub-1k 4-channel performance mixers that incorporate battle features but are aimed at a broader set. The Rane TTM-56 has a street price around 650 USD. As a battle mixer it's as close to perfect as it gets; nothing from Pioneer can touch it and the closest thing that does is double the price. A lot of battle DJs prefer the 56 to the 57 even since it doesn't rely on a computer to function flawlessly. Companies that have tried to introduce new digital features and such to battle mixers have not generally succeeded in the battle market -- I'm thinking of the very innovative fader ideas that Vestax implemented in early 2000 or so to little or no fanfare....
I'm not saying that there can't be some cool new 2-channel battle mixers in the future but I don't think it's the biggest need facing the DJ market. I'd much rather see solid reliable and excellent sounding 4-channel mixers in the same price range as the TTM-56. Not that I think any such beast would ever come from Pioneer though![]()

Yep.. Looking more and more like finally a challenge to the Serato Mixers.
I like. Gonna make setup that much easier for ....Traktor users.
Really interested to hear the specifics, and see if they get adopted by big club chains/ venues.
I'm addicted to WoW.
Please do not bother me about being a productive member of society.
Skratchworx just tweeted that his guesses were pretty accurate.
If this is a decent price I may consider selling my TTM 56s and Audio 8 DJ, then again the TTM 56s was my first love with battle mixers.
So today all will be revealed. I'm kinda hoping it's not as big and clunky as you're avarage mixer, but will have the same dimensions as the ddj-t1's mixer part. That would make it very portable in combination with a X1
Wonder what the pricetag is, but this might actually make me wanna sell my X-600 which I only bought about 2 months ago.
