can it be used as an AUDIO INTERFACE and midi controller together?
also what are the midi editing specs for this thing?
is there a software editor?
does it need the darouter in midi controller mode?
can we custom assign specific midi CC's where we need them?
I also would like to know if the screen can be set to display specific/custom info under controller mode?
could I name each control to display the data I wanted?

It's Linux so it's probably pretty stable. That's pretty awesome. Too bad it's not 4 decks though... I'd probably go for it if it was.
I wonder if they could have made some extra features if it ran through an iPad. Like extra effects or controls, etc...
And if the effects aren't enough you could always run the audio through a Kaosspad.
It supports midi, but can you hook up a midi-fighter to it for beat juggling/cue points?
can it be used as an AUDIO INTERFACE and midi controller together?Unlikely on both counts, although ProfBX can say for sure. It's probably going to have a MIDI spec very similar to the SCS.3m. Also, it's probably NOT going to need DaRouter to interact with software as a MIDI controller.can we custom assign specific midi CC's where we need them?
Not a chance.I also would like to know if the screen can be set to display specific/custom info under controller mode?
To be compatible with an iPad, it needs to draw less than 20mA. So this is unlikely.I wonder if they could have made some extra features if it ran through an iPad. Like extra effects or controls, etc...
Pretty sure you're going to be limited to MIDI in and out for the SCS.4 itself, with no possibility of connecting an external controller. It supports midi, but can you hook up a midi-fighter to it for beat juggling/cue points?
oh i was not at all trying to bash this - just agreeing with the statement above my post on that page. someone had said how it's not an S4 killer and i was just agreeing that its far from it. that would be comparing apples to oranges.
i would love to see a sampler built in so we can create something more than just mixing track A to B.
there's room on the unit for a sampler section - one knob or button for sample select (A, B, Master), one knob for sampler volume, one or two buttons for triggering/re-triggering sample and making it either one shot or a loop. and one button or knob to adjust the sample length.
i'd rather see it have its own section rather than on the screen thats got to be accessed by the buttons on either side of the screen. then i've got to deal with tabing thru sampler to library to load my next song.
i know it doesn't have a sampler, but i think it desperately needs one.

read the tech specs. Pseudo isn't FULLY balanced therefore, they do not boast a balanced output.
