Yikes...I started(very slowly) to convert to digital DJ'n when Stanton Final Scratch was released, as I didn't want to give up the old school all vinyl. I was sooo happy to not have to carry all my crates anymore. Then Serato followed by me taking all records out of crates and filing in library.
oh yeah...CoolEdit was the shit too. I still use Audition for editing.

PCDJ (Red)
It was very stable, but lacking in features for mixing
Started with Winamp, and wrote my own crossfader to go between 2 instances (I wasn't beatmatching at this time, so pitch wasn't important). This was before laptops were affordable, so I was lugging a big desktop tower around with CRT. Those were the days.
Used Atomix and BPM Studio for a while, until I discovered Traktor 1. I'm still using it now

Rufus ur still using Traktor 1l? I got to see a video of that, please.
actually I was, until a couple of weeks ago. Then I found something more fiddly and cumbersome - Traktor Pro!
Maybe I should boot the old Traktor 1 back up sometime to see just how far we've progressed. That shit was old-skool, you could use 2 soundcards on it and everything. In fact, you had to.

I remember traktor 1, oldschool!
