I only use them for triggering short drops. I find they don't sync very well, even when I tighten up the grids.
I mapped the Phase Sync to my Volume Faders for each slot.
So now, when I touch the fader, it triggers the sync. Also did the Unmute to the Play button.
Works the charm...

I just don't like the way the samples trigger, or I should really say, re-trigger. Has any one figured out how to make them play like a regular sampler?

I think its a combo of having Snap and Quantize off, to get the hit immediate and using the correct play button.
There are 2 play buttons as always. Cue Play and Play.
So what you saying is that you trigger the sample and then wanna trigger it again during playback? to restart it?

I cant work out how to stop a loop playing without holding down the play button? Seriously annoying.

I haven't read every response here, but yes I use them, and I think one way I use them that I think is quite original and good is..
dedicate one of the slots to having a decent white noise sweep/cymbal crash/something similar, and then map a button on your keyboard/controller to play/pause both decks and trigger the sample when you press that button. that way your quick cuts are absolutely perfect and the whitenoise (or whatever) sweep makes it seem like natural transition, like in most EDM tracks.
pro: perfect, pro sounding mix, can go from any key/tempo/vibe to any other key/tempo/vibe.
con: not as fun as the "old-school" way of djing. but hey, move with the times, and this is djtechtools after all
i started using them two weeks ago and i like them. i have 808 one shots on one deck and various sweeps on the other deck.
i have them mapped to the 3rd bank on my 4 banks mode.
As it is now you hit a sample play button and a one shot plays out unless you hit the button again which restarts it with a hold action instead of retriggering the sample. If you hit the sample cue button before the sample plays out it will restart, but if the sample has finished, then you have to start it with the sample play button. In other words, you can't pound out the samples like you would on an apc or a keyboard. Or I haven't figured out how to make it work like I want.

Back on topic.........
I do alot of taking a drum beat or section of a song, using the slicer on it, record to loop recorder, & then put into a sample slot. When I get one I particularly like, I'll put it in one of my loops folders and save it for later use.
