Quality isn't the issue... It's where the money is going.

If it's made in china, then $50 of the $150 I pay for the stand is going to china. I want my money to stay in our economy and to support local workers.

As do 'non-American', discerning consumers. The reviews are excellent, and Jes.NZ's vid shows the quality. I care where its made because I have preferences when it comes to who I support - that's my prerogative

I can't imagine $50 of what you pay will stay in china, more like $15-20 tops. There's knockoff Uberstands that can be bought for under $15 and thats including a "middleman" markup, of course as with anything QC is always going to be an issue unless the factory are "badgered".

BTW I do know that the likes of trips to china to check on suppliers, shipping, import taxes & marketing also factor into the finished product of course of which the "copy" manufactures do not have to pay the overheads.

Not to mention "niche product" which also elevates costs.
