I tend to disagree. I would say that most of his stuff are bangers, with a smattering of techno stuff. But, i guess everyone's idea of a banger is different.
I would consider tracks like Longest Road, Hi Friend, the melleefresh stuff, The Reward is Cheese, Bad Clock(the aiden what time is it re-work), and some others im sure im missing to be 'bangers'.

Ok, I listened to those tracks listed and sort of take back what I said. Decent stuff, electro with techno overtones. Just like u say I have a slightly different definition of bangers, its so subjective tho anyway.

Ya, i agree, very subjective. I had a similar conversation with some guys from beatport about categorizing tracks. What it basically boiled down to is if you have 5 guys try to specifically label a song you're gonna get 5 totally different 'genres'

Indeed. Tho some stuff is easier to 'fit' then onthers I personally don't really believe in genres other then in a basic sense. They can be useful but I hate when people try get too specific like yeah its 'techno-electro-ghetto-porno-house'. Its like dude wtf.

    hey guys

sorry to restart this topic but didnt want to open a whole new thread...this thread has been really useful for opening new musical doors, and loving the beetroots and toxic avenger especially.

looking for something (appologies for my sweet musical terms here) "less heavy, more mainstreamy", im thinking bloody beatroots meets daft punk...?

as an example, loving 'baby when the light' by david guetta and 'blue monday (vandalism remix)' as the mo....

maybe someone can help me out

cheers guys - thanks for all being so hopeful

as an aside i fear i may have 'cant-resist-constantly-browsing-djtt'-itus...horibble disease... no hope for me now!

I like the Cities In Dust, but it really lacks a intro I have a remix that has a decent intro of CID and all I do a drop a 16 bar loop of the bass kick, it work pretty well.

i love hating on deadmau5 too, lol.

all his tunes sound like they're missing something. that element of progression and climax that alot of good electro tunes have.
basically once you've heard the first 30-60 seconds of a deadmau5 tune you've heard the whole song.
