This pretty much explains how I feel about it. Every time I go out and here a DJ play dubstep, I can't help but this he is either going to blow the tweeters or over extend the woofer and break the leads.

I'd take it on board but unfortunately you'd already dismantled your own argument, so you should, by rights, be vanishing in a puff of logic

done the exact same thing for which you've chastised us for
I know that. I don't like tech housy or minimal stuff but at least i understand that some people like it.

Never mind, "modern" dubstep is here, deal with it

First, I'll say that I like _some_ dubstep. It's hit or miss, and usually it's the latter of those two. However, even with the dubstep I like, I can't listen to it for hours on end. I need more variety, and I know a lot of people who feel the same way.

    My perspective:

Dubstep has only been huge for a year or two at this point. As such, there is a lot of shitty dubstep out there which strikes me as extremely formulaic. Producers seem to be fascinated by the novelty of that LFO wobble and that apparently makes them forget about the whole "music theory" thing (NOTE: not every dubstep producer, I'm talking about the ubiquitous bad dubstep producers here). Songs are still occasionally getting exposure just because they're dubstep - this is precisely the phenomenon that Bieber, or more accurately his producer, is taking advantage of. Thus, the standard is set a bit lower than a genre with a long history like house.

I'll +1 as far as the dancing issue goes too. Sure, you can say, "just dance at 140!" However, without cues from the music (especially with how syncopated dubstep is) this is often easier said than done. Even if you can manage it, it's still odd to be dancing at 140 to a song that _feels_ like 70.

I'm just finding that too many DJs play dubstep for the sake of playing dubstep, without any regard to the quality of the songs they're playing.

Even though its suppose to be 140 bpm my body wants to dance at 70 bpms and I dont want to dance that slow. EDM - Electronic DANCE music. I have to be super pro at popping or w/e to dance to dubstep. I don't call throwing my hands in the air up and down "dancing" so that is why I dislike dubstep.
