    For Traktor:

Better mapping interface, it'd be awesomesauce with something a bit more intuitive than what we have today, but hell, I'd settle for a resizeable window.

Also, better support for jog wheels (resolution etc) and more Scratch certified stuff.

@Karlos: I don't know about the others, but I can't help but look at this thread as a sort of 'wishful thinking' kinda thing rather than a serious feature request collection (cause that would belong over at NI's forums), it is that time of the year after all

    Agreed.

Also…yeah…that's how I treated this thread. The whole dream setup threads…they're not about what we're planning to buy or suggestions of what people should give us either…just dreaming.

    I don't see the problem.

The funny thing is that you and I both use an external mixer. But, yeah…I kind of hate having to run the gains on my mixer so high because Traktor's default settings create a situation where you are going to clip your sound card outputs if you don't turn the master down a good bit.

I could also bitch about a Traktor feature to un-do the effects of the loudness war along with incorporating a model of the 4000G master bus compressor instead of it's shitty limiter, but that'd really be asking too much.

Personally I think the separate deck view traktor always had it's kind of a trademark by now and I back them up on this particular decision (not that it matters too much but meh) and the phase meter does an excellent job assuming your grids are right, if not just use your ears it ain't that hard to bend a phased track back in place.

The main feature I would like to see implemented has already been mentioned hundreds of times and I'm pretty sure NI is aware of it. Post fader FX.
As a delay freak I would love to see this happen. Do I demand it? no. I just think it will help a lot of us who mix internally and would rather avoid running Ableton on a side just for this purpose.

Ah one more thing, fullscreen has been partially broken with spaces/mission control on OSX for ages, I'd love to see that fixed .

While I don't think they'll ignore this list, I don't see it changing their roadmap by much if any.

Did I mention that I would like to see real iTunes integration.

Yeah i get that. I did say in my post that "Im not saying that this "Wish List" is a bad idea. Its not."

    .
I don't see the problem either, I though I had made that clear.

My point was getting at the fact that this thread 'was', 'was' in danger of just becoming a fist thumping exercise about SSL waveforms and NI have heard all that a million times before.

If SSL style waveforms are genuinely the number 1 on the wish list, so be it but please for heavens sake can people think about other things (some of you have and thats good).

I sometimes think that people think NI make Traktor in a vacuum. This wish list, as noble an effort as it is and i commend it will go on top of a pile that starts with the Devs Wish List and runs down a whole host of people including the testers wish list which, is actually an Improvement List in the Bug Tracker.

I know that NI will look at this list, hell they are probably reading this very sentence right now. Your thoughts are considered.

One last thing on the waveform debate. 100s of 1000s of people are getting along just fine with the way they are now, in fact they love it. People are gonna have to do a hell of a lot better than "well i like it in SSL" to make NI change what has been a highly successful method (using the Phase meter) and is working for them and the DJs that use Traktor.
Just saying that you can line your beats up isnt gonna cut it cus that does not always make for tight mixes. The phase meter is far more accurate and requires a lot less eye twitching. SSL is like trying to watch the lines on the motorway i my opinion.

The Phase Meter will always rule Traktor (inmho) and Traktor users will defend it to the death. I can DJ with my ears (big deal yeah) but i could easily do without waveforms. I could DJ all nite just using the phase meter. It is just the most powerful mixing aid i have ever used.

    Jus sayin'

Dude trust me, the Beta List is awash with Improvement Requests about iTunes integration.

I made 2 new ones just last week.

The Browser and iTunes is my pet project for improvement.

Plus, the NI forum is full of requests for better itunes integration and browser improvements. Short of painting it on the Moon in big letters i dont think it could get NIs attention anymore than it already has

Yeah that and even for people who use controllers it would be nice to have meters that were actually useful. Metering with any controller including the s4 and s2 is pretty bad the way traktor handles it and 0db/clip is at the top. I know it is digital, but look at any digital mixer or other software and they do it to emulate analog meters with 0 towards the top then like +6 of room before there is a chance of clipping. You kind of just have to set autogain and hope for the best using internal mixing.

I'd like that when they remove something that it could be available as an option, like a few version ago you could be using tcv, pitch on the turntable and the pitch on a controller, it's not doable anymore. Or in 2.1.2, when you are using sync and auto master, you take the line fader of the master deck to zero it changes the master deck....
If it doesnt affect any "new" feature why take it away.

Pitch bending sample decks. this would be great for those of us who don't want to beat grid all of our tracks. There is a mapping command for this in 2.1.1 but it doesn't work so maybe this is already on the list to be added soon.
