76 of the top 100? Nonsense. I'm sure they'd have lots, but I'd love to see some proof of that.

Beatport wouldn't generate THAT much money, I'm not sure of the breakdown (I'm sure someone here knows) but I imagine they take 25%+ then Artist royalties, songwriting royalties, misc costs.... then whatever small profit is left would go to the label, which from my experience of most labels is pumped straight back into the label.

If Toolroom was generating million dollar plus profits, it'd be snapped up by a major label in the blink of an eye.

I'd be surprised if he made anything out of it....

I warmed up for him once in 1998, didn't like his style/music preference necessarily, but he was a nice bloke, met Alison Limerick that night too, that was awesome.

1998 was around when he was peaking (no pun intended) too. Helicopters to clubs and all that superclub nonsense too. Nice one.

Well, where's Richie Hawtin and Dubfire? My works for one of the renowned festivals here and he told me how much Dubfire's asking. And Richie with his Plastikman shows?

It honestly doesn't take much to make the top 100 on the BP charts. 150 to 200 sales over a weekend could easily land you on the charts. So 200 sales at 2.50 a pop equals 500 bones, and at 72 top 100 that equals 36G's a month *52 only equals 1.87 million dollars. That's assuming they have 72 of the top 100 for 52 weeks in a row, and that still doesn't equate to the 2 million minimum to top the list.

With that being said, I personally would have thought the SHM guys would have made more than what they are estimated at.

The Judge Won't Budge etc, heh heh Personally I don't/didn't like the type of music he played at the time but as you say there was no doubt he was huge at the time and it was an opportunity to play out so had to be done! I'm trying to recall his rider, something about rum and certain beer but I don't think it was OTT.

I am %100 sure that David Guetta has much more money than the Tiesto.I am not playing DG or Tiesto but ı am pretty sure he has more at couple of years beacuse of his rating increased incredibly. And at least for 3-4 years Tiesto is not the best so ı think he is not that rich anymore.

We talk and talk but ı wish ı was on that list that too

How could any promoter afford to pay a DJ £100,000 for a 2 hour set? If you fill a 3,000 capacity club, you'd have to make at least £33 from each punter (ticket price and drinks) to even think about breaking even...

surely that figure isn't his standard dj rate.
