Yea man! Are you based in Sask too? Add me up on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/izn.u.shahab), and let me know if your coming to Pure. I'll make sure to set up a guestlist and some free drinks for you and your friends

We're working really hard to build up the scene/culture in Regina (its pretty dry right now, as you probably already know haha). My friend just set up a dj lab and we're also planning on bringing in artists a lot more often. If your interested in being a part of something like that, we're always looking for helping hands.

Will do been missing a scene since Regina raves. Which was pretty nice then was what I was used to coming from Houston. Would be game for setting a scene up I've asked a few times on here and TA and can't seem to perk any interest.

In fact lately I've decided to dive into mobile gigs to build up live sound equipment to make more easier to get something going.

Live outside Regina about 45mins out.

Winter time I have a lot more free time summer is hit and miss with family and work at a JD dealership so seeding and harvest are busiest times of year.

I find it crazy that there even was a scene before in Regina. Talking to some of the older heads like flatland funk, I've heard some crazy stories about the old Regina scene. Apparently everyone just got too busy or moved away causing the scene die down into what it is today.

Its strange to hear how such a cool scene could just melt down to nothing. Has anyone else seen this in their cities?

If everything wasn't so spread out I have places outdoors and indoors that could host events but who wants to drive 45minutes out of the city right.

ha I had no idea infected mushroom ever came to regina (I've only been in Regina for a few years and I've been able to go to clubs for 2), that would never happen now haha when cosmic gate came here a year ago only 60 people showed. Same with tristan gartner, and a handful of other djs that have come threw. They tried bringing in aoki and even lost money on that. Reviving/creating is a scene here is going to be a hell of a task

There's no base for a scene a site a crew promote then they will come I doubt the scene started big. Just needs some groundwork local talent parties then bring big names and proceed. The problem is need sound and lighting to do events. Mostly why I've take. To doing mobile dj gigs to fund my sound and lighting equipment purchases. Hopefully have a decent quality setup in a few more months.

I get what your saying, but I'd say there is a base of dedicated promoters, there just isn't much interest from the general populace (despite having a decently sized population). There are several promoters in the city who have thrown successful and sold out nights. The catch is, nobody comes out for the music, the headliner or for any type of event production quality; there isn't much of a nightlife culture. There seems to be a general feeling among club managers and promoters that every cent that we spent on bringing in artists or on lighting was useless as it didn't bring anyone extra out, nor did anyone care for it at the event
