Apparently, Mixcloud pay royalties to artists. They also claim that they don't take any mixes down. (apart from situations like antimfradio's)

Well, I don't think it's necessarily Beatport's top 10, but major labels that sell their music on beatport. I've had a mix denied on soundcloud that started out with Cascades of Colour by Ananda Project, and I'm pretty sure that came out long before beatport could put it in a Top 10.

Last month I had a mix get taken down that I'd had up since January of 2013.

When that happens, I try to remember the label that the track came from, and I don't use their tracks anymore in my mixes from then on. Then I tell my friends which track and label put the claim in. I also think twice about buying any more tracks from that label. If I'm going to protest, I'll do it with my wallet.

Ok I don't know what difference it makes that its happened to some dick called Garrix who got famous off a shit song.

Tricks will work to get past the automatic detection, but your mix could still be reported by someone and be taken down.
