You might be right. I watched a video review where someone said the 2nd usb is for recording only.

Reading the comments it looks like the sales rep screwed up on that one.

Ok, so he said you can only use the right drive for recordings. But you guys and the people below the post state you can also use it to load up music for playback so you could do like say a back to back set? I'm starting to get confused because it would seem strange that a Pio rep doesn't know what he's talking about.

Well it does seem strange but not surprising read this http://pioneerdj.com/support/files/img/DRH1292A.pdf Page 12 says both can contain recordbox data and can use the USB port on back to connect to a computer so yeah I think for a back 2 back this would be ideal

    Default Pioneer XDJ-RX

Took delivery of Mine on Monday, have upgraded from a Kontrol S2, the build quality is fantastic and
    Am so impressed with it.

USB 2 can be used for playback and Record but not at same time.

Will be recording 1st Mix tonight 😃

Any more real life feedback on these yet guys?

Pretty much sold on one of these. I was tossing up on the idea of an XDJ1000 + DJM600 setup (a mate has a spare mixer). Though i would want to upgrade the mixer later and that's just really too much for home use. The XDJ1000's are $1300 each here in Aus. So really i'm looking at 3.5k for a club setup but for home use..

I also saw that Numark will be releasing an upgraded NS7 (NS7III) which looks promising aswell, yet to be released though. It seems that would fall under the same category as the XDJRX.

Sure i have aspirations to drop at a club in the future but im coming from a Numark Mixdeck Quad setup which im not really a huge fan of. I've been using it with Traktor and also mix in standalone aswell when i want abit more of a challenge.
