We've been over this already.

As digital MIDI controller DJs you really need to toughen up and grow some thicker skin if you ever want to make it into the bar/club scene with promoers and people who aren't going to be so understanding of your laptop and controller setup. At real gigs you are going to get tons of shit from people asking where the turntables and CDJs are, a little constructive criticism is nothing.

if you wnat to do the controllerism movement a favor stop making it seem like all digital DJs are whiny overly sensitive pussies.

I am doin just fine thanks, like i said, I have tough enough skin and i have been in this business for quite sometime. I have been fortunate enough to play all over the world, tour with many other DJs, and produce music for some great labels. I just don't see why you being a complete ass to everyone is doing anything for this particular forum... you should really hit up some kiddie raver forum or something. I don't play on the message boards, I just come to this one for the purpose of tuning my skills with controllerism, but maybe i am missing something??? I just get bored with your negativity, it takes up space on my screen.

PS. this is a message board on the internet, not a nightclub, the two are of no comparison.

Watch how you talk, those sorts of derogatory comments aimed at the members of this board inst welcome one bit on these forums - there are plenty of other forums on the net where talk like this is allowed but certainly not on this forum.

As everyone has said if you want to offer constructive criticism keep it constructive and keep away from turning it into a slander.

Like i have said a billion times before criticism is always welcome here as long as its constructive and doesn't turn into petty name calling like you have managed to display.

Thanks for the thread and the support guys. Yes- that routine was very simple but there are just a few important things to consider..

    1) I originally had a 4 deck, full remix routine of a track planned. Something very complicated that got scrapped at the last minute for the sake of simplicity and exchanged with a sound that would translate to a non-dj audience. The actual routine was something I came up with the night before and Due to time constraints I only actually got to do the intro

    2) I really do wish I had more time to develop and practice really mind blowing routines like Q-bert and other turntablists. Unfortunately, I just don't have time. It takes me 12 hours a day 6 days a week to just maintain and grow this amazing site. So instead of trying to be the Qbert of controllerism, which I am not. I would like to think of myself as the grandfather of the art, creating tools and passing on ideas which others will take- practice for months and use to create amazing sounds.

So on that note I am going to take the very reasonable challenge put forth by one of the original posters and turn it back on you the community. I would REALLY like to see some amazing, mind blowing videos that use the concepts we have been presenting over the past 2 years.

email them to me and I will put them on the blog.

also, one person had a good question about the spin making it in the show. No- Vestax did not have any part of this segment. Several producers on the show are fans of Dj TechTools and wanted to feature our arcade edition. The spin plug was just there so that entry level people could see the range of options in case they cant afford our custom versions...

Guys, enough is enough... Let's just forget about Xone... and concentrate on ourselves and our community, not making it bad by continually degrading on one?
