Will do.. Is there a place where all the DB4 owners chat it up?? The Xone forums seem to be pretty quiet.

Yeahhh, i got to mess around with it for like 10 min before i had to leave for work.. Very glad I went with the DB4 and not the DB2.. I'm sure the DB2 is a monster but the DB4 just had me at first sight. No disappointments thus far. This thing just looks and feels like its ready to do some serious work! <3

If thats the case, would you guys mind talking me out of getting the DB2? I think I am going through my 1/4 life crisis- I am either going to buy the DB2, get a motorcycle (and probably kill myself on it) or build an assault rifle (probably kill someone else with it) lol.

Before I got the DB4 I was debating between saving for that or possibly an FN SCAR-L/H. I ended up selling an AR to fund the DB4 and a mixer is a much better investment. If you build an AR then you have to buy ammo if you actually ever want to shoot it which is crazy expensive, a mixer is a one time investment.
I could try to talk you out of buying the DB2 but it would only be to convince you to save a little more and get the DB4- the loopers and the dual xone filters are worth it alone.
The DB2 is beast no doubt about it !
I think you would be very impressed with it.
Are you used to Xone filters at the moment ?

Well I have only experimented with what can be mapped through traktor, I have never been able to get my hands on a Xone before. I could only imagine that the quality of sound coming out of a DB mixer is amazing.
As far as using filters to eq it has completely gotten me back in to mixing. I unknowingly happen to mix for almost 2.5 hours last night- that's the longest I have mixed for in a long time. I am sure you guys do and/or use your gear more then me, but I am only a hobbyist who is financially stable with no other responsibilities. I am still considering a DB model cause I love mixing and making sounds with music. With what I've seen and heard on the DB models, making "sounds" (by effects) is one thing that no other mixer manufacturer can come close to replicating (outside of completely switching to abelton, which I wont do). To clarify- I don't mean using effects to mask or make overly muttered transitions, builds and breaks, but more along the lines of a clean sound and style of a "live remix".
I can see how the DB4 can be very beneficial in respects to the style of mixing I want to pursue...... time to really think about this "hobby".
