inject some older pop music into the mix for that occasional blast of nostalgia. most crowds eat that shit up.
the bonus is that there is a good amount of old pop music that is actually really good - which is more than we can say about the current garbage.

Last year's top 40 crop was pretty weak, but this year is looking up. I'm really digging the top 40 stuff coming out this year.

^THIS. A lot of artists which didn't do much for me last year have started to get their stuff together, and are putting out songs that aren't half bad. I also like playing some songs that haven't quite made the radio yet but you know they will soon. Like for example Martin Solveig- Ready 2 Go
