I can't say I disagree with you on that one.

So, was it just a matter of trusting yourself, or did you actually go with earplugs or IEMs?

I always wear "musician's earplugs" in clubs and concert venues, regardless of what I'm doing there (performing, punting, tech-ing, drinking, etc.). I've done IEMs before, and I prefer it. I'd still be using them except that my last pair broke and I haven't replaced them yet…Etymotic stopped making the exact model I used, and most of the earbuds or IEMs I've tried (read: borrowed) since then bother my Tragus piercing.

I just had faith in what I do. I always wear my earplugs when Im not DJing but take em out when Im mixing. Gonna get me some new filters tho with not so much of a cut on em cos I think to 20db is too much. Im thinkin like 10's or even 5's. 20's for being a punter, 10's or 5's for Djing with.

I really dislike how people pretend that the wave thing is actually beat matching. Either beatmatch or don't. WTF is with pretending to do it?
