And that wouldn't be a replacement anyway since it serves a different niche.
The same technology will be ported to regular turntables such technics.

How could they utilise the same technology? There's no way of a turntable determining the position of the record on the platter except through timecode. You're suggesting a turntable with built in timecode? Interesting idea but I'm not sure I see the advantage over CDJs with spinning platters.

    Sure?

Same technology, different sensors... similar capabilities but, of course, not like real vinyl 100% including audio errors from bad quality audio cables, needles and so (which are usual in the clubs at my country)

Imagine any circular interface capable to send midi/hid/osc data.

To me this is not the replacement for the technics, It is more an "upgrade" in the same way as DVS 8 years ago and leaving the final choice to the user.

Well you'd have to implement a way of determining the position of the record which isn't actually in any way attached to the turntable itself.

Perhaps you could have a spindle which is free spinning and attached to the body of the turntable rather than the platter via some little ingenious device that could determine the speed of rotation. Then you attach the record to the spindle using some little device like a 45rpm adapter which sits on top of record and slots into both it and the spindle. Could work I suppose.

Just the first method that popped into my head.

I was wondering these option but I'm (still) not sure about it... for the first version it will be more simple and, I supose, not so fancy but usefull at last.

The idea is transform a regular turntable into something like numark v7 but open source.

How can you make open source hardware? You mean you don't want to patent the technology?

How would you go about it then? I'm curious.

Akiyama Acura, too bad they're discontinued too.

Isn't the Reloop RP-4000 m3d a good alternative to the 1200's? They seem pretty okay.

That's a super OEM right? They all rock. The Stanton ST150s are the most popular ones.

Nothing's changed really, unless you insist on buying brand new which is just silly.
