Ah, finally, Chris's X1600 setup landed here

Figured I'd finally post my setup here. It's still not complete, need an audio interface so I can play with my Mp3's, but it's getting there.

Technic MK2 Turntables (x2)
Ortofon Concorde Elektro Cart's (x2)
Rane TTM-56 Mixer

And Road Ready individual cases to store it all in.

You can also see the Logitech 5.1 system I'm using for sound at the moment. Bought it in 2004 I believe, and it's still working fine. At some point I'll upgrade that... but it's not first on my priority list.


Now I have to rebuy headphones, my 1 year old Beagle chewed the hell out of my AIAIAI TMA-1's a couple months back, and it's killing me right now lol.

It's great so far, the only big gripe is having to share one of the sample deck channels with the preview player. I'm still making some small adjustments to workflow, but I think I've got everything under control now.

Since I primarily use the individual volume controls on the sample slots and never touch the channel fader I've set the sample decks both to one channel. Now I have the preview player on one channel by itself.

I got the same carts....pretty damn impressive. My Stanton Skratchmaster v3's were damaged....so got nothing to compare em with....but love em.

Been scouting for a cheap Rane 56....but no luck as yets...

The fact you are facing into your room - too many set-ups face the wall (mine included atm).
