Can anyone give any info on how the nanoKONTROL works just by itself? Is it any good, or do you really need the VCI-100?

depends on what you are using it for, being that there are no jogwheels on the nanoKontrol.

the nanokontrol parts feel like a toy compared to the vci-100 but there is also quite a price difference.

You don't need the VCI-100... But then again you don't really need any controller if you map your keyboard.

I'll tell u this though. Lot's of times I just play out with only my NanoKontrol and NanoPad.

I have seen the nanoKONTROL, and it does feel kinda plasticy, but not bad. Maybe use the KONTROL for FX on Traktor or a different program. I'm sure you could map the buttons to something usefull (scrolling through effects?).

Kama, how hard is to get two nanokontrols and convert them into one unit but having the pots and the buttons separate from the board? is this possible?

can you solder cables to the board then connect them to the buttons and pots somewhere else? i need to have a new faceplate with the different controllers connected to two nanoboards somewhere on the bottom of an enclosure i could make for it. is it also possible to replace this pots for better ones? finally, have both usbs connected separately to a hub to the computer?

thanks in advance to anyone that can help me.

I have bought several Korg Nano Pad. It's said that one have to use Korgs own driver (and driver tools) to use more than one at the same time. It looks like it will work in Windows XP but have someone managed to pull it of in Vista (2 Nano Pad, 2 Nano Kontroll or 2 Nano Key)?
