Stewe's Edit and if it is pure MIDI I'd think so, but if we A include a USB hub or B a sound card, maybe not.

I will do EVERYTHING I can to make sure that the unit can be bus-powered. However, it WILL include a USB hub which can be DC powered, either by a 5V brick or a 7.4V lithium battery pack.

Just to clarify something (Stewe?), does Traktor currently support VU meter displays via MIDI?

EDIT: Scratch that, apparently it does. So... selectable pre/post-fader VUs via a little toggle button, anyone?

Well, this is my point of view of what would be a perfect 4 channel midi mixer.

I can't understand why someone still haven't come up with one like this. Independent Vu meters, 3 band EQ, Gain knobs, Rotary push encoders for browsing/loading decks, aluminum filter knobs and a really simple design.

now that i think of it... just make a s4 without the jog wheels, transport and effects stuff done and done
