Well the fact that he is doing something immature and idiotic to impress people is what wrong with it. He's a dj, if he could impress people with his music then he wouldn't have to do that. Not trying to say his music is good or bad though

I remember when I went to a concert and the dude started pulling the speakers off the stacks.. sooo dumb.. it didn't even look cool.

His point was that bands and people became infamous for destroying their gear. Why should a dj have such negative responses directed toward him when he was not nearly the first person to think of it? Honestly, he did something stupid to keep the crowd pumped when his computer went down. Give him some credit for knowing how to keep the show going. I dont know how I would have handled the same situation.

His computer crashed and inorder to show the crowd "what happened" or "give a reason for the cutout in music" he smashed up his x1 because it was "unnessesary" in his gear set with his xone...not making an excuse for him just saying thats what he did

tbh I think Deadmau5 is at a stage where if the music stops the crowd really do not care nor does the club owner from the looks of it all it did was add abit of drama

exactly, with a simple Y-Cable he can fire up something like the propellerheads REBIRTH app, do a quick 4to4 beat on the 909/808 and improvise a bit while the laptop is restarting

or the lazy way - play something off itunes on ipad
