I hate racists!

Yeah the violence isn't the answer to racism. Think about a situation where some racist comes, you pull your gun and shoot the guy/girl. Let's assume they have kids that have been thought into racism. What they are going to remember? Yeah, a black/white/latino/what-ever dude shot your mom/dad. The cycle starts again and most likely even more vicious than before. Confusion and despair evolves into fear and the fear turns into anger and hate. Anger and hate are there to protect one's confused self but in this case they've been driven to overdrive.

The worst wars are those which have been fought for so long that the young generation doesn't even know why they hate the other party so much. They've just been thought to hate the other side. A child doesn't know what's right and wrong. Parents are the one who teach the morale.

I definitely agree that violence is not the answer to racism. My point IS that if it comes down to it, I have a responsibility as a parent to be there for my daughter. So, if I have to defend myself, I will.

As the to the post about skins, I'm of caucasian apperance, yet I've gotten into it with skins (please also remember that not all skins are racists).

And I do strongly think that violence is only, ONLY a last resort, and only if eminent harm cannot be avoided. The best weapon is the one you never have to use.

I strongly believe in individual rights, but also individual responsibility. If I had my perfect world, there would be no violence or need for weapons. Unfortunately I don't leave there yet =(

As for racism, I have no time for it. Same goes for needless, senseless violence. I don't believe in carrying a gun around for self defence, then again I don't live in an area where it is needed.

I really have a thing against resorting to violence straight away, especially when people are out on the town. Right now around Newcastle we have a terrible pattern of random bashings going on. Just last weekend I guy randomly got jumped from behind while walking home and was bashed. He had no idea who the guys were.

but if someone is in my face screamin stupid ish i am not about to just stand there and let someone do that to me, now if the guy swings first its game on, if its just words being thrown across and it ends at that I am not about to go look for him and go and beat him up, just gonna call it a day and go about my buisness.

I think that's the best way to go about it. But I have heard so many people say they do start fights when they really do by giving heaps of shit back. Too many people feel the need to "be a tough man" these days I reckon. I couldn't give a shit. Sure if some guy is trying to start shit with me it's going to piss me off but I would rather try and avoid it so my night doesn't get ruined. It takes a fair bit to fire me up.
