did you have any success at getting the jogwheels to work as they're supposed to, or is this a hopeless undertaking? since not even the djtt mapping seems to be managing this...

will do my best, but dont expect miracles, I'm a bit of a noob (tho pretty enthusiastic about this controller working!)

the only thing i need to do now is to get the monitor output working and the jogs done

Default what is wrong with Itch?

What is wong with Itch that everyone who uses it wants to switch to Traktor Pro? Is Itch that much more difficult to use? Sync with?
I which there was a demo of Itch that I could use to see the difficulty between that and Traktor Pro.

    No effects,
    No snap looping/cue drop features,
No ability to change the mapping <- this is the BIG one
    No beatjumps,
    No quantize feature,
    No beatgrids,
    No advanced looping,
No ability to use a separate soundcard (especially useful if you want to mix externally),
    No phase correct sync feature,
    No interface customisation,
    No 4 decks.

true that Itch is like walking on a beach with a rain coat ON.

I'd rather put it as: Itch is a raincoat. There are times when it comes in handy (e.g. if it raines), but it doesn't make any sense if it's summer and you take a walk on the beach

Traktor is a much more flexible solution and it is much more mature. But if you want to use the standard 2 turntable paradigm you are used to without any other fuss, then Itch is the way to go - works out of the box and has incredible performance related to the jogs.

How close are we to a TSI? 70%? 80% Any news please for us anxious people...

How about we pool some money together and try to bribe someone at NI to give us some programming code so we can make it happen...lol

djmacwu's jog controls are pretty nice - although the tsi is incomplete and still has a few bugs it's clear to me that it's possible to get the 300 with itch-type responsiveness (and as tpro gets cleaned up by NI, with less drop-outs/hanging etc).

as soon as a decent tsi comes out i will prob switch away from itch, buy a firebox/audio 4 and use traktor with the 300. for the moment when gigging i would actually rather borrow a friend's SSL interface and use DVS (as crates/stripes are swappable between itch and SSL) than put up with the soundcard in the 300.
