I love this thread. I love Hip-Hop - but only examples like the ones shown in this thread. Al ot of the chart stuff makes me cringe. Certain artists make me wanna cry. I can't wait 'til hip-hop DOES go out of fashion, and we (the real heads) can take back what belongs to us.

Grand Central is BY FAR my favourite label. Loads of GC stuff on the soundtrack to Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 on the PS1.

    Great soundtrack all round, actually.

    Cool. Where u at, UK?
Ive done some DJing with the guys at Grand Central/Fat City, Martin Brew and Darren Laws. I also put Mark Rae of Rae & Christian on at one of my club nights many years ago. Hes a good dj.

That whole Manchester scene has had a great influence on me.

Fat City Records in Manc is where i used to get a lot of records. Still do online.

Good to see someone whos into that more laid back funk style of hiphop.

People gotta remember that hip hop came from dance music (disco)... so I don't find anything wrong with commercial stuff like Drake and Weezy.

Get's on my nerves when people say "Real Hip Hop" like what's in the chart isn't hip hop... It's all about having a good time! I'm slowly losing time for "real heads" if I'm honest...

*EDIT 100 POSTS WOOOO! (Karlos' rants have rubbed off on me i think...)*
