FAO any other fellow MP2015 owners who may be looking for flight cases: Searched around all the currently available cases on market and nothing quite fit the bill properly IMO so went ahead and custom designed one and had it fabricated. It's as compact as possible with wood sides removed measuring 15.5"x17.5"x7" outside dimensions. Rear panel is completely removable for zero wasted space and direct cable connections without any of that typical up and over draping business. Feel free to hit me up on PM for more info if interested in plans and/or where to get one done.

Gorgeous setup. I'm going to pull the trigger on this very soon (was waiting for the euphoria to wear off and real feedback to come in... Haven't heard any complaints yet )

What didn't you like about the cases on the market? Love the custom case you have, but thought it fit well in what was out there.

Thanks. Aside from a few hand-made boutique mixers out there, IMO it’s the best mass-produced mixer currently on the market in terms of audio quality, build quality, and feature set (for my material and style of DJing that is). Can’t imagine what else it could possibly be added* which could allow it to be considered a “lifetime” type of gear investment. Haven’t had a chance to spend a whole lot of time with her yet (just arrived the other week) and "become one" with her, but right outta the gate I have one word from first impression: “HEADROOM”, and lots of it. Unbelievable dynamic range and an insane level of precise control over virtually every aspect of the signal chain. Never thought a fully digital mixer could ever sound this good, but it does.

*Except for Serato DJ support so that Serato users can full advantage of MP2015's built-in dual-USBs. Oh, and the maximum headphone volume needs to be increased. From what I understand, Rane is addressing this with firmware update.

IMO the problem with most all off the shelf generic cases is they don't quite fit exact measurements of the MP2015. The chassis either sits a little high or low in relation to the surrounding foam and I wanted an exact fit. Secondly, they have wasted space along front and back due to the way they make the fixed or removable panels which makes the overall outside case dimensions bulkier than it needs to be. For example, take a look at
Odyssey 12" Flight Case. You'll see how the front panel removes (for no reason with MP2015) and it's in a channel that adds space. Next look at the back. It has a fixed rear panel with lots of wasted space behind mixer. The reason they do this of course is so that's there's room for the connections (which then have to drape up and over rear panel), but with my design the entire rear panel removes which allows case to be smaller and fit right up against the mixer when closed during transport. Another benefit to this design is that it also allows all the cable connections to go directly into mixer without them being draped up and over the rear panel which is a much cleaner way to go IMO.

    Thanks! Good info.
I can see the wasted space and added bulk could be a negative... But, believe it or not, I actually like the fact my current controller and case has the extra space to store my USB hub and power strip. the cables in the back of yours are way cleaner, though.

It is definitely on my list of gear purchases. Been looking to get back to rotary mixing. They are finally showing up in stock again, so may grab one.
I may hit you up for the dimensions and material sources should I not like the prefab cases, too.

    Thanks

Bit the bullet and grabbed one of these. Amazing board. I thought the knobs would be a bit tighter tension-wise, but they are still smooth as silk.
Love the case you posted, but ended up getting the Odyssey. It fits perfect if you remove the wood panels. And, as you noted, the front headphone jacks become blocked. I'm ok with that...
There are two holes in the back to pull the cables through if you remove the plate.

Did a few sessions at home with it and can say I'm impressed. The filters are awesome and am really in to the isolator.
Can't wait to play live on this bad boy next week.
It feels good to play on a proper rotary again!
