get some akai pads, i had a nanoPAD once, failed after only 4-5 days of use. these akais have held up pretty swell for me, and the lights are bangin!

From everything Im reading the Akai is the better choice. To be honest I have had a couple weird things already happen to me with the nanopad. The drum pads always seem to be very inconsistant & and when pushing a little hard seems to interfere with another button. Like Im getting 2 signals fro the same button that is mapped for a single function. I am a fan of the Kontrol though for my effects. Where are your pics bro??

I need to get/make some CDJ, monitor, laptop, and misc controller stands, it's way too wide like this :P... I just sold the APC 40 and got an EFX-1000 (not pictured). Grabbing a pair of M5Gs next wek and want to get an updated 1D to match everything or I'll just print out some overlays...

Are image tags not allowed? That's strange. - Edit: huh, image tags do work, why doesn't anyone use them here?







Also not pictures is a KRK 10s subwoofer under the desk...

Why does it have to justify anything? My equipment is about my personal pleasure and having many different options. I get that reaction a lot from jealous people when they see my setup demanding that I need to prove myself and be an amazing DJ because of it, it's kind of ridiculous and shows a lot more about people like you who hate on it.

Heh, I'm actually getting more. Two M5Gs next week. I'm trying to sell the M3D. I may sell the 1000 MK3s while I can get the best price possible and wait for the 2000s. I'll probably get another mixer to have two setups, one digital with the Xones and one more traditional, I'm thinking DJM-800 just to be comfortable on the club standard. I would prefer to get another Xone: 92 but they are rare in clubs and after using a 4D it would be strange (I used a Xone: 92 rotary for a while). My other option is a cheap, slim Vestax PMC-06 for the two turntables.

I feel like I have alot of options and it is hard to feed my DJ gear lust and constant whorring now that I am looking to buy a nice synth for production. I'm looking for a deal on a Moog Voyager, Prophet 08, and or Moog Little Phatty Stage II, so my budget is a little stretched right now. Hopefully I'll find a nice job soon, right now all my gear is funded through rigorous craigslist buying and selling and I have been able to upgrade to get most of this stuff while making cash in the process....

It's time consuming but fun and rewarding and I meet some cool people in hte process. The last guy I bought an EFX-1000 from had a nice production setup and we talked and he showed me the tracks from the record that just released and it was really inspiring/awesome which is what is pushing me to get into producing now.

The big desk I have everything on was a pricey professional office desk and I have another corner piece for it and some more legs so I may expand it into an L shape, bring my desktop out there plus another monitor and have my studio intermingled with my DJ setup. I may finally have a use for that keyboard stand that has been sitting around too. i just need to build some stands from plywood and pipe for the speakers, laptop, FX unit(s, I plan on getting more), LCD mounts, and CDJs. Anyway enough of my rambling.
