    Looks good.

The price is RIDICULOUS ... i dont care that all Pioneers units are overpriced, i dont care that we should expect high prices from Pio. There a fucking economic crisis the world over and its been reflected in high street prices.

    Seems like Pioneer havent noticed.

Blah blah naive blah blah industry standard blah blah

It is a combined but lesser version of a Pio mixer/A4/X1 in a box.
    Its too expensive because:
    Mixer:
The mixer will be nothing special because Pio mixers are good but nothing special

    Audio Card:
The audio card is not an NI audio card. it is certified but you cannot take it out on its own so you cant value it the same as an Audio 4.

    Midi:
Its not got an X1 in it cus just look at the tiny buttons and the lack of them.

    Might buy one

EDIT: If you dont have Traktor software of timecode then the price is bareable but there HAS to be a hardware only version for people with existing DVS setups or that is financial idiocy.

I don't think it needs 4 channels, after all, if you want 4 channels (and pioneer, with N.I. integration) you buy the nexus, this is much more designed for turntablists, hip-hop djs, or any one that want only 2 real decks, but also loop banks and or acces to cue points and ish, and everything in the same box, but with cream and strawberry on top. Only missing a few things, and the strawberry is synthetic.....
Like, why not infinium, or innofader inside? again a proprietary design, and where is my send/return again???
Aaaannd, i can't help to feel that in 6 months they will make a new one, with even more stuff on top, like chocolatebananacheesecakeolivemartiniwhatever...
macbook pro, technics trntbl, numark pro sm-1, vestax pmc 08 pro, traktor scratch pro 2, akai mpd 24, novation nocturn, vci-100 fw1.4, krk rp5g2 and FBV express mk2

+1 if you are looking at a Scratch mixer then the above is vital.

bahaha, I've always thought club mixers were missing something, and you're right. It's a strawberry.

Regardless of whether or not I want one, I'm interested to see what happens when NI inevitably hand this over to Q-bert, Shiftee, Rafik or whoever and let them go mad on camera... samples, FX and cue points all within inches of the crossfader could lead to something special from them!

Yep, triple fast sample triggering crabbing madness followed by triple twist over the head scratch meet cue point triggering.

Ps: they should have done the cuepoint/sampledecks a switch as in scratch mixer switch ( and a solid one cuz its gonna take some abuses).

    Yep!! Agree 100% man.

LOVE the look of it but i'd want a few more buttons and encoders for that price. (still even then i wouldnt pay the money). There is much more on the market that equals the Pioneer spec sheet but doesnt need to bank roll a small country to buy it!!

Looks to me like Pioneer are expecting this thing to be fitted into the booth by the club/bar etc and then the DJ brings their own controllers to use along side.

EDIT: Actually would this not just sit alonside 2 1210's or CDJ's so all the DJ would need to take is the laptop (assuming it's more for use with time code)??

Maybe the price is so high cos Pioneer dont anticipate this being bought by a mobile DJ. (??)

The idea is probably for it to go with 2 CDJ350s in midi mode or something.
