Yeah I talked to see what the guy could do and asked for a preview of his work, but I didn't like how he handled business. He posted that without my permission

I've been in the graphics industry for over a decade and say this with all due respect... you are looking at things completely backwards here. Until you pay an artist or photographer for exclusive and permanent licensing of the art they produce, you don't retain any rights to the art in any way. Most if not all designers and photographers can and will use any versions (rough draft to final product) unless you make financial agreements to retain full and EXCLUSIVE licensing of their work. The only time I know of that this isn't the case is when a company hires you to design for them. Then your work becomes the exclusive property of the company, but even then, I've rarely ever heard of them having a problem with people using the work to put in portfolios.
