I didn't know about that traktor functionality.

kind of changed my ideas about my controller. thinking now on timecodes and so since all the bars / clubs around here have at least cdj100. maybe i won't do that full controller. maybe just one deck, effects, browser controls...
Been changing and rechanging my mind about what controller to build for my usage and even future market.
For now this full controller will be standby since I'm thinking on mixing with sync. Later I'll get an audio4 or something like that and use timecode at the same time.
Now, i'm thinking more on a X1 and K2 based controller. So... For those who have one of these what do you think there is lacking? What are the good points about them? Audio-card inside? An audio 2? How many buttons? How many knobs? How many encoders? A dj-layout or some layout based on a grid like "here are the knobs, here are the switches..."? Maschine like?
What do you think?

As the others have said, i would place the pitch faders right and left maximum just so that it wont get in the way of other buttons/knobs. esp since u got those big arcade buttons, rly easy to accidentally press em down.
aka kontrol s4 style

I should change the topic but... I can't really so...
Anyway, here is the layout of the "mini" controller.

Smallest circles are leds (actual size). Largest are buttons on their actual size. The other three lines... first two rows are analogue knobs where the third row is for the encoders (which have also a button inside).
It's pretty different from the full controller I was making since this one is more group based and not so dj-like. Still wondering if I shouldn't do this more dj-like but... oh well. Top buttons are supposed to be "pages". I think i'll hard-code this to be easier to map but what do you think? Let the user decide what those buttons do and just don't hard-code that?
Here is a layout more x1 based
