APC 40
thats about it dj wise...prolly a full studio speaker setup just for my room.
Mine's changed a bit. Here's what I'd want.
3x CDJ-2000
Elektron Octatrack
A one of a kind custom-made mixer (see below)
EFX-1000
Or, failing that…
I'd want to build an all-in-one that didn't suck. I'd base it on the same mixer but with a built-in audio interface, a pair of X1s on the sides, and another pair of X1s torn apart and re-arranged. I have a picture in my head. Imagine a rotary S4 with X1s instead of deck controls, plus other buttons/knobs to give real controls over the sample decks and some extra buttons/knobs/encoders somewhere to use either for Ableton Live or for something like the instant gratification mapping. Or, ideally, both. I'm actually kind of enamored with X1s, but the layout is a bit wrong for anything but the obvious use IMO. Fortunately, the one I took apart seemed simple enough to mod…just take the controls off the board and point-to-point wire them in a different arrangement.
So, the mixer…
I'd base it on the overall design of the E&S DJR-400 with some changes. First, I'd want it all digital. Ideally, it'd be based on digital inputs. I see no reason for phono preamps, and it'd be cool to integrate an audio interface so I could just keep 32-bit PCM or float from software straight through to an analog gain stage at final output, though I have no idea how possible/hard that would be. I like the master Isolator/EQ, but I'd do the channel specific EQs a bit differently. 2 knobs are fine: one would be just the high-mid EQ from a xone 62/92, the other would be weird…I'm still working out the details, but I'm working on figuring it out with macros in Ableton Live. I'd also want a channel-specific effects loop, and all very clean analog gain stages on the outputs for booth, master, and headphones.
That's why I want to do it digital…IHNFC how to build the EQ circuitry with an analog mixer, but based on the research I'm doing, it seems like it might be doable with a programmable DSP.
I've found a maker space in Atlanta with some electronics and fabrication gurus that seem to think it might be doable. If I end up having the money, it's going to turn into a summer project. Obviously it wouldn't be traktor certified, and I might end up having to tear apart something like an audio 8 to get the functionality I want, but…whatever. I've broken more expensive things than a discontinued audio interface trying hair-brained ideas. Sometimes, they even work out.
I'm actually seriously considering doing this over the summer…it's just a matter of whether I have the money to throw into it. What I've learned about DSP coding doesn't seem that bad compared to some of the other stuff I've done. The fabrication seems possible. I just don't know where to source the parts yet or whether I actually want to devote the money to tear apart X1s or start from scratch on those sections…or just build a basic version of the mixer and start saving for CDJs.
And either way I want an Octatrack.

2x Technics 1210M5G or just one 1210mk2 (to complete my collection)
Roland Jupiter 80, V-Synth GT/XT
Roland JP-8000, or GAIA SH01
Access Virus Ti
Top of the line PC/Mac
Yamaha HS series monitor
Pimp up studio
mission accomplished in 2011 - just bought the flagship Roland Fantom G6 workstation
Yes i love Roland gear, professionally built to last..great sound (although lacking of support...the FG was half baked in it's OS but tbh it was more than enough for me atm)
I've been interested in synths lately than djing...at least there's a chance for me to play live gigs in near future..
For djing related gear i'm pretty satisfied with my classic CDJ800mk2 & DJM800..
