i think morning light was over played pre my entry into the drum and bass community. still makes the crowd go wild the times ive seen it played.
whats BOS??
Taking a guess and saying Boston?
And across the street there lives this guy, they call him the rabbi.
I mix stuff on my things...
music is a strange beast!
i have to say that indeed these songs do get played out b/c they are good/catchy/people enjoy them.
that being said, it all has to be taken in context. for example, members of various countries experience different cultures and taste and different times.
so i believe it really is all about the crowd you're playing too. bottom line.
another example, personally i like a lot of the tracks mentioned, and they haven't been overplayed for me, and when i dj a party, that may be in fact one of the very few times these kids have heard that track, if ever.
i'm going to university in a smaller town in AZ, and what may be commonplace or even overdone to members of the dj community or dance music enthusiast, could still be very fresh and fun for my fellow students. ^_^
I'm struggling with that personally at the moment. Not any of these tunes listed here per se, but decent tracks that have been around for a month already and that I view as being 'old'.
I've come to realize that most people haven't heard these tunes, and most local DJ's for that matter. My problem is I assume if I have it already so does everyone else, when in actuality no one else has even heard it.
You might try to go listen to what tracks the DJs at whatever venue you're interested in are playing. Dunno. You'd probably need to do this for a while though.
Also, I'm adding the Macarena to my list of songs to remix. Imagine an electro banger remix of the Macarena! Yes!

lame electro remixes of songs that should never have been remixed...
Can you imagine if you could travel back in time, before these songs were released, and play them all out at a massive party?
people would be like omgwtfbbq
