Temted as I am to elaborate about the substances found in my underwear, I'll just say:
ITS AWESOME
Had about 3 hours with it (hate those business trips, wish it ran on batteries) with no clue beforehand on how to program beats and now have two really neat grooves made allready! I especially like the control/step switching.

For those who picked up the white version, can you post a pic? I'm interested in seeing how it looks as the models on the NI website don't seem right.

Sure thing!
The replaceable/customisable/whatever plate that comes on the white model is really a brushed silver/chrome/other grey metal texture than white. The black one is properly black though - I don't have one myself (I didn't get one of each, haha), but I played on it for a while and it looked quite a lot like the original.

I also have the white one. The pictures on the NI site don't do it justice. I would be _very_ surprised if the black one looked better.
The on point of critique would be that the big browse knob falls out of the total design by looking a bit cheap plastic (it's not rubberised like the small knobs are). A superluxe white knob with subte grey rubberised details would have been worth an extra buck.
As a total noob, I find that browsing for sounds on the hardware feels a bit odd as there are no indents and the knobs are quite sensitive. Can you adjust the "scroll speed"? Anybody knows?

Thanks a bunch. There is over 250 pages of reference manual on the web. Happy I don't need to dig through them. Wouldn't this seriousy damage the usability live? If I would attempt finding the perfect sound for the moment Live, I would NOT trust myself with these knobs...
I also find myself having the strange behaviour of wanting to do as much on the controller as possible, while the laptop screen would be so much more conveinient. Is it because I want as much controller for my buck as I can? Is something wronger with me than usual?
@superluxe; My washing machine has a more sexy knob than my Maschine. This disturbs me. A lot.
