Key Control issues

Ok, so I'm attempting to map a key control knob to my omnicontrol, and for some reason the knob assigned to key, when turned, doesnt respond in traktor pro. It'll turn a bit but it keeps resetting back to the 12 o clock position on the screen and doesn't actually do anything to the key because it basically refuses to budge other than a little bit before it snaps back.

Does anybody have an idea as to why this would be happening and how to fix it?

Gah, taking up space, sorry guys, figured out it works fine as an encoder. Mods, please delete this topic whenever you see it
