I commend their efforts to make a Nano-sized controller specifically for DJing, but they have ways to go.
For a cheap emergency controller I'd rather use my old X-Session pro - because even though it lacks a multitude of buttons, it has knobs, which I find to be more important.

Still, it's worth a consideration if it's priced in the range of Korg's Nano controllers.

I'm curious what kind of midi data this sends. If the faders and knobs send CC values, I could see using this as an effects controller; especially if the wheels sent useful data. Anybody know?

faders and knobs are always CC
well, 99% of the time. there was some controller (i think reloops) that had button knobs or some crap

    It is TINY though.
To be honest, if I was in an emergency situation where I could only have a tiny controller to mix with, I'd dump beatmatching entirely, so I give this a FAIL.

    but very cheap bullshit

i find my nanokontrol useful for the amount of controls for size/price. my nanokey is tbh rather shite but just about does the job as i don't have a normal (musical) keyboard here.

yep that controller does look rather shit. a couple of lpd8's would be much more useful if you really had to use controllers that small/price etc.

    that's fine,
but you can find cheap midi controllers on craigslist that aren't bullshit.

shop around you can probably score a used oxygen8 for 50-70$ no problem.
