I can read ed paris easily...but i was trying to construe Earl Panda out of it and got lost.

ed's is hard to read, but the small version is a perfect icon. nothing like it and it looks like it might be letters or anything else, making it memorable.

earl you could always do something more basic like this. (whipped this up in the lab between classes, so forgive the sloppiness)

These are what I use. Abou as basic as it gets. i'm not graphically very good but hell. It works for me on flyers.
